Q: What does Paragon Behavioral Health Connections do?

A: Paragon services are for individuals and families needing more comprehensive services than routine weekly individual therapy.  Our services include a comprehensive plan to support youth and adults in their home or the community. We work with the whole family to provide comprehensive support. The set of services provided to a family are based on initial assessments and needs of the family, addressing care management needs, the individual family members' treatment needs, and the functioning of the family system.  Clinical services include individual mental health and substance use treatment interventions, trauma interventions, and family therapy.  Other family supports that are delivered may include care management, respite services, parent coaching, recovery supports and skill building. Service intensity will be tailored to the needs of the family or individual, however, it is expected the families requiring this level of service will generally benefit from 6-10 contacts a week.

Q: How can Paragon Behavior Heath Connections help?

A: When you call you will be connected to a care manager who will inquire about what services you think are helpful for yourself or a loved one.  The care manager will gather some basic information about your needs, your insurance, and will schedule you for an assessment (virtual or in person).  Paragon uses a team based model of care meaning that a few team members may be assigned to support you or your family in accessing food, transportation, childcare or other resources, in addition to a clinical therapist.  If you are in a crisis, a rapid plan will be developed to support you and your family in stabilizing the situation.

Q: What kind of things can I call you about?

A: The reason for seeking services is different for everyone.  Common reasons include anxiety, depression, substance use, bullying, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, suicidal thoughts, family crisis, disabilities, and/or concerns about a close family or friend. Individuals or families that may benefit from our services are often stepping down from a hospital stay or in a crisis that requires intensive services.
